Client: Major UK University
Services: Architecture, Building Surveying, Project Management, CDM-C

This large Grade II listed building was originally built as a family home and converted to offices circa 1960 but had been vacant for over 10 years.

The property was in a poor state of repair with roof leaks causing decay to many of the structural timbers, doors and original sash windows. The brickwork to the elevations and chimneys was in a dilapidated condition requiring immediate remedial repairs.

Our client engaged us to Project Manage the re-roofing of the property and carry out essential repairs to the elevations, windows, doors and front glazed porch. The property was returned to our client under budget and on time.

Challenges:
• Site directly adjacent to main University Campus entrance
• Adjacent to occupied buildings and a busy main road
• Budget restraints
• Grade II listed building
• Restricted site access.
