Our proposal is for a new boat house on the Dreadnought site to provide a new home for the Army Rowing Clubs Association (ARCA), who are being relocated due to the Olympic Games developments at Eton Dorney. The plan is to use this new facility to enable injured service personnel to fully participate in rowing, including indoor and outdoor competition, allowing for the support of Olympic competitors at 2012 Olympiad.

The proposed building, over a ground and first floor, will provide a large ground floor boat store, reception with back office and store, workshop bay, first floor office, classrooms, kitchen, main club room, and toilets/changing facilities.

It is anticipated that this development will compliment the proposed developments at the Dreadnought and Boat House in order to revitalise this prime location beside the River Thames. All three developments will sit within an overall masterplan of the riverside land. Overlooking the river, a series of landscaped spaces will provide allotments, play spaces, and wildlife meadows offering a more satisfying vista for walkers and cyclists using this area of the Thames path.
